21 September 2006: Holland is two Split Windows richer

Two of the Dutch Chapter Boardmembers, Sander Ballegooij and Rob Musquetier, have fallen in love with the beautifull lines of the C2 and made sure that Holland became 2 uniek split windows richer.

Both gentlemen have bought a Daytona Blue Split Window and imported them by themselves out of the States. The Split Window coupe is a unique model which was only produced in 1963. The car of Sander is the oldest one of the two with an estimated birthday of 25th of March, Rob's car was born around the 2nd of July.

The car of Sander is an original 327-300 bhp car with the RPO's 4-speed gearbox, power steering, Am/FM radio and the original set of K-H knock-off wheels. These rims were available as of 1964.

The split of Rob is powered by a NOM engine and has the RPO's 4-speed gearbox, tinted windows, AM radio and rear differential. Based on the features found in the engine compartment it is likely that the car was originally produced with a unique FI engine.

Both owners are proud on their new members in the Vette fleet and they comitted to spend a lot of energy and time in the coming years to bring their cars back to original NCRS standards.
